What made you go into dentistry?
I always knew that I wanted to work in healthcare in some way, many of my family work in this field and so I followed their example into medicine.
Why did you choose to specialise in your field?
I loved surgery from the moment I went into the university. I was an intern in the oral surgery department from the third year of my degree and knew that it was what I wanted to do.
What do you like the most about what you do?
The satisfaction that you get from being able to help people, restore their oral function, give them a beautiful smile and see them getting back their self-confidence is really wonderful.
What have been the most important changes in implant technology in recent years?
I would say computerised implantology with immediate aesthetics has made a big difference to what we can do.
When did you move to Marbella?
A year ago, it’s a great place to live and work!
What do you like about working with MarDenta?
We are a young team, committed to constant professional development, with the desire to work hard and do everything in the right way. Our focus is 100% on the patients and giving them the best possible care. That’s a great thing to be part of!
What advice would you give anyone considering getting implants?
The patient must be sure that the professional they are using is doing everything possible to keep their teeth healthy and in place. In the case that it’s impossible to save the tooth, then there’s no doubt that the best option, which will last the longest are implants. You must choose a highly trained professional, who uses the best quality materials and the latest technology. Lastly, the patient must understand that caring for their implants is essential, with the correct oral hygiene and regular visits to the dentist.
