It’s time for our regular meet the team feature and today we’re getting to know Dr Nacho Dúran. We believe it’s important that you know our team as well as their backgrounds and education so that you know you’re in safe hands.
Dr Duran was born in 1986 and is the son of a highly regarded doctor and intensive care specialist, so medicine was in his blood. He wanted to be a dentist because helping people’s health was always his dream and dentistry is a specialism that combines health and helping people with appearance and beauty.
Nacho graduated from the university Alfonso X in 2009 with a degree in dentistry and since then he has been undertaking regular training to improve his skills and experience. He has completed a one year course in restorative dentistry in Leeds University, as well as a course on implants and surgery, plus focussed on safeguarding both children and vulnerable adults in dentistry.
He moved to the UK in 2009 to improve his English and to get experience in the NHS and the private sector in Grimsby and Bradford, working there until he returned to Spain to open MarDenta this year. His English is now fluent and his experience of the culture and the sector in the UK has enabled him to offer high quality dental care in English for patients in Marbella.
To this end, he has teamed up with Dr Pilar Rios and they have brought together a team of specialists in the areas of orthodontics, implants, maxillofacial surgery and more to offer a complete dental care in the centre of Marbella.
Nacho’s style is very relaxed, friendly and patient, someone who is great at dealing with nervous patients and children. He is a specialist in aesthetic dentistry, paediatrics, an endodontist and experienced in a wide range of general dentistry, so he can help you achieve a healthy mouth and teeth plus a great looking smile.
